Erik, really amazing stuff! I haven't read the novel - but I can tell how beautifully you've distilled the essence of Tolstoy. It feels like a visual haiku version. At first, I was laughing at the hilarious cartoon rendering of Russian types - but very quickly I was surprised by how absorbed I became by the characters/themes & surprised by how moved I was as well.
